Alzheimer's disease affected both sides of my family, impacting everyone's lives around them. My parents carried the weight of caring for them, and I watched two people I'd been close to my whole life become harder and harder to reach.
I've been lucky enough to get my place for the London Marathon 2027 this year. A dementia charity felt like the only choice for this challenge, especially now, after the losses this year.
Every pound raised goes to Alzheimer's Research UK, funding the research that came too late for my Gran and Grandad, but doesn't have to be for someone else's. I'm doing the miles. All you need to do is chip in.
